INSTALLATION

Assemble your 2610-03 using the assembly procedure fig. 2 and connect it to your folder.

Adjust the speed control knob on the stacker so that the folder forms exiting the folder overlap each other by all but ¼ of an inch.

CAUTION: If overlap is tighter than ¼" forms stack will be too heavy and forms may skew off to one side of the deck or the other. If you notice skewing then you need to speed up the stacker.

Your stacker should successfully stack over ½ of its length. This is typically over 800 forms.

If forms begin to tip towards the infeed side of the deck when less than 800 forms are stacked you may need to add the optional spacer (see fig. 2) which reduces the driving force between the belts and forms stack. The center rail, which is on the top of the deck, is removable. The purpose for this is to allow the operator to insert a spacer at the downstream part of the deck if needed. This is shown in fig. 2.

THE 2610-03 HIGH CAPACITY STACKER

THEORY OF OPERATION

The stacker will maintain its overlap on the forms stack regardless of whether the folder/sealer stops and starts. It does this by use of a photo eye to sense the folder forms as they come on to the stacker. The stacker starts to move and one second after the photo eye is blocked. The speed knob on the stacker further adjusts the overlap.

CONTROLS AND INDICATORS

The 2610-03 contains all of the necessary controls and indicators on the front panel, within easy access. All of the required cable connections are terminated on the rear panel, away from the operators work area.

The following controls and indicators are located on the control panel ( shown below).

  • POWER On/Off Switch. This switch is used to turn power to the 2610-03 on or off. The switch will light when on.
  • RUN OUT SWITCH This switch will allow you to move the conveyor forward manually by pressing and holding this switch.
  • SPEED CONTROL This control is used to set the speed of the conveyor belts; from 3.5 to 39.5 feet per minute.
