Custom InfoSeal products offer an impressive
range of document features. We pride ourselves on designing
products to meet your specific application needs. Features
include numerous sizes, papers, ink colors, patches, die cuts,
and value-added features such as ID cards, labels, and decals.
Custom products are available in quantities exceeding 25,000
documents per order and multi-lot combination orders also
qualify. That means you have a variety of ways to economize
while maximizing the utility of the document.
Introduction
When designing an InfoSeal form, there are four general specifications
relating to envelope patches to consider. They are:
- Envelope Size
- Paper Weight
- Envelope Patch Adhesives
- Depths
Standard Envelope Sizes
The standard envelope depths for 11" depth forms are
3 3/7" or 4".
The standard envelope depth for 14" depth forms is 3-1/2".
The standard envelope depth for 17" depth forms is 4-1/4".
Exceptions/Alternatives: Refer to Product Development/Manufacturing.
Standard Paper Weight
In order to improve the appearance of the form and to provide
an easier opening envelope, the standard paper weight for
envelope patches is 20# RB.
Exceptions/Alternatives: Clients with non-impact printers
may prefer to use either 20# MICR/OCR or 24# MICR/OCR to improve
imaging.
Envelope Patch Adhesives
Refer to the previous for a full discussion of Envelope Patch
Adhesives.
Folder/Sealer Considerations
Ideally, the patched envelope should be placed in the bottom
panel (opposite of the three glue tabs) of a C-fold document.
The opening of the reply envelope should be at the bottom
of the form to improve processing through the folder/sealer.
Exception: The reply envelope patch can be positioned with
the opening toward the top of the document. However, this
position is not recommended on forms processed through the
Mid Range Folder/Sealer (model 2612) do to the potential of
the reply envelope opening catching on the window patch of
the next form.
